Delhi can be broadly categorised into the old and new city. Old Delhi
with its rustic charm and a royal past was the capital of numerous kingdoms,
a glimpse of which can still be found in the crumbling walls and remains
of huge gates that once secluded this kingdom of emperor Shah Jahan from
the outside world. Predominantly a labyrinth of crowded lanes clad with
cycle rickshaws and ancient havelis, Delhi can be a cultural shock for
first time visitors. New Delhi, on the other hand, is an amalgam of modernities
with a tinge of past. Get lost in a barrage of skyscrapers, contemporary
shopping malls and generous leafy avenues. Dinner and night stay will be in Delhi.
